What Is Spinosad Topical Used For?

Spinosad Topical Suspension treats two types of parasitic infestations. It is approved for head lice in adults and children 6 months of age and older, and for scabies in adults and children 4 years of age and older.

Along with treating the infestation itself, the medication should be used as part of a broader management plan — washing clothing, bedding, and personal items in hot water to help prevent reinfestation.
