7-alpha-hydroxy-dhea
7-alpha-hydroxy-DHEA is a metabolite of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a precursor hormone produced by the adrenal glands and, to a lesser extent, by the ovaries and testes. DHEA is a key player in the production of sex hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. When DHEA is metabolized, it can be converted into various other hormones, including 7-alpha-hydroxy-DHEA.
