Hexadrone Drug Interactions, Uses, Safety & More
What is this page for?
First and foremost: how Hexadrone interacts with medications. The heart of this page is the interaction list — every drug Hexadrone is known to interact with, and how serious each one is.
But these pages have grown well beyond that into a full monograph — what Hexadrone is, what people use it for and how strong the evidence is, its safety and side effects, and answers to the questions we’re asked most — written and reviewed by the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases, not medical advice, and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What Severity, Likelihood & Evidence Mean
Severity — How Serious It Can Be
- Major. Clinically significant; generally best avoided, or used only under direct professional supervision.
- Moderate. May need monitoring, a dose adjustment, or separating the times you take each one.
- Minor. Generally not clinically significant, but still worth noting and mentioning to your pharmacist.
- No known interaction. Checked against our sources with nothing documented — not the same as proven safety.
Likelihood — How Well It’s Documented
- Likely. Well-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction
- Probable. Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- Possible. Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists
- Unlikely. Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
Where This Data Comes From
- Interaction records are evidence-graded and sourced from the Natural Medicines database (TRC Healthcare), the same reference used by pharmacists and hospitals.

Hexadrone: Uses, Safety & Side Effects
Hexadrone is a synthetic oral anabolic steroid (a 'prosteroid' or designer steroid) marketed in bodybuilding supplements, not a natural herb or vitamin. It is not an approved drug, its safety has not been established in proper human studies, and like other anabolic steroids it can stress the liver, cholesterol, and hormones. We do not recommend using it, and you should talk to a doctor or pharmacist before considering any product containing it.

Overview
Hexadrone is not an herb or a vitamin. It is a synthetic compound sold in the bodybuilding and 'sports supplement' market as a so-called prohormone or designer anabolic steroid. Products like this are designed to act in the body in a way similar to anabolic-androgenic steroids (the same family as testosterone-based drugs).
Even though it has been sold in capsules and tablets labeled as a 'dietary supplement,' Hexadrone does not come from a food, plant, or traditional remedy. It is a man-made steroid-type chemical. Many compounds of this kind have been pulled from the market or flagged by health authorities because of safety concerns.
People who use Hexadrone are usually trying to gain muscle, increase strength, or change their body composition. It is important to understand that legitimate, high-quality safety research on this specific compound is essentially absent.
Uses & effectiveness
Hexadrone is popularly used by some bodybuilders and gym-goers who hope to build muscle, gain strength, or lose fat while keeping muscle. These are marketing claims and traditions within the bodybuilding community, not proven medical uses.
The evidence is very weak. There are no large, well-designed human clinical trials showing that Hexadrone safely and effectively does what it is marketed to do. Much of what is said about it comes from manufacturer claims, online forums, and personal anecdotes rather than reliable science.
Because it behaves like an anabolic steroid, it is biologically possible it could affect muscle. But that does not make it safe or appropriate, and any potential benefit must be weighed against real risks to the liver, heart, and hormones.
How it works
Hexadrone is thought to act as an anabolic-androgenic steroid or a compound that the body converts into one. In simple terms, these chemicals attach to androgen receptors in the body — the same receptors that respond to testosterone — which can signal muscle cells to grow.
This proposed mechanism is based on how the broader class of anabolic steroids behaves, not on detailed studies of Hexadrone itself. The exact way this specific compound is processed in the human body, how much reaches the bloodstream when swallowed, and what byproducts it forms are not well documented in reliable research.
Safety & precautions
We urge real caution here. Oral anabolic steroid-type compounds are linked to a range of serious health problems, including liver damage, worsening cholesterol (lower 'good' HDL and higher 'bad' LDL), high blood pressure, and disruption of the body's own hormone production. Because Hexadrone is unregulated, the actual contents and purity of any given product are uncertain.
People with liver problems, heart disease, high cholesterol, hormone-sensitive conditions, or any chronic illness should not use it. Teenagers and young adults whose bodies are still developing should especially avoid these compounds.
Pregnancy: Avoid completely. Anabolic steroids can cause serious harm to a developing baby, including abnormal sexual development. Breastfeeding: Also avoid, because these compounds can pass to the baby and their effects are unsafe. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive, do not use Hexadrone.
Athletes should also know that steroid-type compounds like this are typically banned by sports organizations and can cause a failed drug test.
Side effects
Reported and expected side effects of anabolic steroid-type compounds include:
- Liver stress or injury (sometimes shown by yellowing skin, dark urine, or fatigue)
- Worsening cholesterol and increased cardiovascular risk
- Acne and oily skin
- Hair loss or unwanted hair growth
- Mood changes, irritability, or aggression
- Suppression of natural testosterone, which can cause low libido, low energy, and shrinking of the testicles in men
- In women: deepening voice, facial hair, and menstrual changes (some of which may be permanent)
Rare but serious harms can include severe liver injury and cardiovascular events. If you take a product like this and feel unwell — especially yellow skin, severe abdominal pain, or chest symptoms — stop and seek medical care right away.
Dosing
There is no established, medically recommended dose for Hexadrone, because it is not an approved medicine and has not been properly studied in humans. The doses suggested on product labels or in online forums are not backed by safety testing.
Because of the real health risks, our pharmacist guidance is to not use this compound. If you are considering it or already taking it, please speak with a doctor or pharmacist, and consider getting blood work (such as liver function and cholesterol) to check on your health.
