Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product has one active ingredient: biotin, a B vitamin your body needs to process foods and keep hair, skin, and nails healthy. The rest is inactive ingredients — glucose syrup, sugar, water, citric acid, carnauba wax, coconut oil, fruit juice, natural flavors, pectin, and sodium citrate — which are the gummy base and flavoring.

Strong evidence
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Strong

Clinical evidence supports at least one of this product's ingredients for its stated purpose.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: Supports healthy hair, skin & nails.
  • We looked for evidence on: Alopecia areata, Biotin deficiency, Brittle nails, Seborrheic dermatitis, Hair loss, Nail health — and 1 related terms.
  • The strongest evidence on file: Biotin is rated "Likely Effective" for Biotin deficiency (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Biotin is rated "Possibly Ineffective" for Seborrheic dermatitis.
  • Also on file: Biotin is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Alopecia areata, Brittle nails.

Biotin is likely effective for biotin deficiency, so if you're actually deficient, this can help. For other uses — hair loss (alopecia areata), seborrheic dermatitis (a scaly skin condition), or multiple sclerosis — the evidence doesn't support it; biotin is possibly ineffective for those.

If you're taking it for general hair or skin health without a documented deficiency, the data we hold doesn't establish that it works.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Biotin is generally well tolerated, even at fairly high doses, because your body flushes what it doesn't use in your urine. High-dose biotin has rarely caused mild diarrhea; one study reported transient mild diarrhea in two patients taking 300 mg daily.

One case report described a serious inflammatory reaction (eosinophilic pleuropericarditis) in a patient taking biotin 10 mg plus pantothenic acid and another heart medication, but it's unclear whether biotin was the cause. For pregnancy and lactation, biotin is rated likely safe.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.

This is a straightforward biotin supplement — useful if you have a biotin deficiency, but the evidence doesn't support it for hair loss, skin conditions, or multiple sclerosis. High doses are generally well tolerated but check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking high-dose biotin supplements, especially if you're pregnant or on other medications.

Biotin Gummies Strawberry Flavor by Evlution Nutrition: Common Questions

Does Biotin Gummies Strawberry Flavor by Evlution Nutrition interact with any medications?
We do not currently list a known interaction for the mapped ingredients in Biotin Gummies Strawberry Flavor. This does not guarantee none exist, so confirm with your pharmacist.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Biotin Gummies Strawberry Flavor contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Will this help with hair loss or thinning?
The evidence doesn't support biotin for alopecia areata (patchy hair loss) — we don't have enough reliable data — and for other forms of hair thinning, biotin is possibly ineffective. If you're concerned about hair loss, talk to your doctor about what might actually help.
Is biotin safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, biotin is rated likely safe during pregnancy and lactation. Amounts from food and prenatal vitamins are fine, but if you're considering a high-dose supplement, check with your doctor first.
What does biotin actually do?
Biotin is a B vitamin your body uses to process foods and support hair, skin, and nails. It's most clearly effective if you have an actual biotin deficiency, which is rare.
Are there any side effects?
High-dose biotin has rarely caused mild diarrhea. One unusual case reported a serious inflammatory reaction in a patient also taking other supplements and heart medication, but it's unclear what caused it. Normal doses are generally well tolerated.
Can I take this with my other medications?
No interactions are documented for biotin in our data. Use the medication checker on this page with your specific drugs to be sure, then talk to your pharmacist if you have questions.
