Low disclosure
BioTox contains 7 ingredients, including a proprietary blend. The active players here are molybdenum (a mineral), broccoli (a cruciferous vegetable), humic acid and fulvic acid compounds (organic molecules from soil), and yucca (a plant extract).
On top of that are inactive ingredients — cell-ready polyelectrolytes and HPMC capsule material — that help deliver the product. Molybdenum supports normal enzyme function and is used when dietary intake is low.
Broccoli brings glucosinolates, compounds being studied for potential health effects. The fulvic acid and related compounds (dibasic acid and polysaccharides) are marketed as chelating agents, though evidence of human benefit is still developing.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The data we hold shows molybdenum is likely effective for molybdenum deficiency — a rare condition in people eating a regular diet. For everything else in this product, the evidence isn't established.
Broccoli may be possibly effective for colorectal cancer prevention, but we don't have enough reliable evidence to rate it for the other conditions listed. Fulvic acid, humic acid, and yucca all fall short on evidence — the data we hold rates them as insufficient to say whether they work for respiratory infections, eczema, joint pain, or the other claims on file.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Molybdenum is generally well tolerated at normal dietary levels and amounts in prenatal vitamins, but high-dose supplements may cause problems — one case report documents severe effects (hallucinations, seizures, brain damage) from very high doses. Broccoli as food is safe; concentrated supplements are less studied, and some people report loose stools or cramping, especially at high doses.
Humic acid and fulvic acid ingredients have limited safety data in humans; pregnancy and breastfeeding data are not on file or advise against use. Yucca safety while pregnant or breastfeeding isn't established.
Possible side effects from fulvic acid include diarrhea, headache, and sore throat. If you're pregnant or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this product.

Dibasic acid
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, taking fulvic acid may decrease the effectiveness of anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro evidence shows that fulvic acid, formed from the oxidation and polymerization of protocatechuic acid, can shorten prothrombin time in human plasma, increasing the risk of clot formation.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, taking fulvic acid might decrease the effects of immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal research shows that fulvic acid stimulates immune function.
Thyroid Hormone
Theoretically, taking fulvic acid with thyroid hormone therapy might interfere with the ability to normalize thyroid function.
Animal research shows that fulvic acid increases the plasma level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and decreases the thyroxine (T4):triiodothyronine (T3) ratio.
Broccoli
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
