What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: citicoline, a compound your body makes naturally and that's also involved in brain cell membranes and nerve signaling. Each capsule delivers 250 mg.
The capsule itself and its contents also include inactive ingredients — hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide — which are standard binders and fillers.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Citicoline has been studied for several brain-related conditions. It's rated possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and glaucoma.
For stroke, the evidence suggests it probably doesn't work. For Alzheimer disease, traumatic brain injury, and cardiac arrest, we don't yet have enough reliable evidence to know whether it helps or not.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Citicoline is generally well tolerated in the studies we have, but long-term safety hasn't been fully nailed down yet. The most common side effects from oral use are abdominal pain, back pain, blurred vision, constipation, diarrhea, swelling, headache, insomnia, nausea, and rash — though not everyone experiences them.
There isn't enough safety data to recommend this during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, so it's best to avoid it in those situations. If you're pregnant, trying to conceive, or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it.

The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Citicoline may be worth considering if you're interested in supporting cognitive health or if you've been reading about it for age-related memory concerns or glaucoma, though the evidence is modest. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any medications, check with your own doctor or pharmacist first.
No interactions are documented, but that's not the same as a green light for everyone.
