Description:Blue-green algae, also known as cyanobacteria, are a type of aquatic microorganism. The term 'blue-green algae' can refer to many different types of algae, including Arthrospira genus, which is known as spirulina, and Aphanizomenon flos-aquae, commonly known as 'Klamath', as it is found in Klamath Lake, Oregon.
