This liquid contains 3 active ingredients, all forms of hyaluronic acid. Sodium hyaluronate and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid are both derived from the same compound—they're just processed differently to change how your body handles them.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance your skin naturally produces; it holds water and helps keep tissues moist. The product also contains inactive ingredients (purified water, citric acid, and potassium sorbate) that serve as base, pH buffer, and preservative.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Sodium hyaluronate and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid are both rated possibly effective for dry eye and venous leg ulcers (slow-healing wounds on the legs). For aging skin, hay fever, and sexual dysfunction, the evidence we hold isn't solid enough to rate either ingredient.
If you're taking this for dry eye, there's a fair amount of support—but talk with your doctor about whether it's the right choice for you.
