Idebenone, studies have shown Idebenone to be a lipids/fat (hydrophobic) antioxidant. Fat-soluble antioxidants dissolve in fats and oils and generally cross fatty cell membranes more quickly than water-soluble antioxidants. When absorbed along with fats in the diet, Idebenone is stored in the body's fatty tissue, and then used.
