Glutathione
Glutathione is a naturally occurring compound that is composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. It is found in nearly all cells in the body and plays a crucial role in many physiological processes, including as an antioxidant defense, detoxification, and immune function. Glutathione levels in the body can be decreased by a number of factors, such as aging, stress, poor diet, and exposure to toxins. Some people take glutathione supplements in the hopes of increasing their levels and potentially benefiting from its antioxidant properties. Glutathione supplements are available in various forms, including oral supplements, intravenous (IV) injections, and nebulized (inhaled) forms. Oral glutathione supplements are often in a liposomal form to improve absorption.

Avocado, Powder
Avocado, produced by the avocado tree, is a fruit known for its creamy texture and thick, bumpy skin. Commonly consumed as Hass avocados in the US, these fruits weigh between 200 to 500 grams and are rich in oleic acid, akin to almonds or olive oil. Avocado oil, used in cooking, faces quality concerns such as oxidation and adulteration with soybean oil in commercial products. Nutritionally, avocados are high in protein, fiber, and monounsaturated fats, while also containing potassium, beta-sitosterol, and various phytochemicals and vitamins. Studies suggest that avocado consumption may improve cardiovascular health by enhancing endothelial function and reducing postprandial blood glucose. Additionally, avocado compounds like persenone A and B exhibit antioxidant properties with potential chemopreventive effects against inflammation-associated carcinogens.

Asparagus, Powder
Asparagus officinalis, commonly known as asparagus, is a perennial plant native to central and southern Europe, the Middle East, western Siberia, and northern Africa. It grows to heights of 30-150 cm and is widely cultivated as a vegetable. Asparagus has been part of the human diet for over 2000 years and possibly much longer. Its shoots or "spears," rhizome, root, and juice are used for food and medicine. Asparagus is a good source of fiber, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin B6, as well as minerals like copper, iron, zinc, manganese, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and phosphorous. It contains flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids, oligosaccharides, amino acids, carotenoids, sulfur compounds, steroidal saponins, sterols, and fructans. After ingestion, asparagus produces a distinctive odor in urine due to volatile organic components like asparagusic acid. Asparagus extracts have shown various effects in studies, including anti-allergy, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant, cholesterol-lowering, diuretic, hepatic, hypotensive, immunostimulatory, and weight-modifying effects. However, some of its constituents, particularly saponins, can irritate mucous membranes and be cytotoxic.
