What is this page for?

What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: glutathione, a compound your body naturally makes and uses as an antioxidant. The liquid form uses liposomal technology — tiny fat-based capsules designed to help your digestive system absorb it more easily.
The inactive ingredients are purified water, non-GMO sunflower lecithin, natural flavors, glycerin, stevia leaf extract, and potassium sorbate (a preservative).
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence on glutathione is mixed and incomplete. It appears possibly effective for reducing nerve damage (neurotoxicity) caused by the chemotherapy drug cisplatin.
For everything else in this product's claims — nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and cataracts — the evidence isn't established in the data we hold, so we can't say whether it works for those purposes.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Oral glutathione appears generally well tolerated in the short term, but we don't have solid long-term safety data for it. The safety of intravenous and inhaled forms is less clear, and inhaled glutathione can trigger airway narrowing and coughing in people with asthma.
During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety information, so the data advises against it unless your doctor says otherwise. The same goes for breastfeeding — the safety evidence is too thin to recommend it.
Meds to double-check
No known interactions
No interactions are documented in our data for glutathione. That doesn't mean none exist — it means we don't hold interaction data for this ingredient.
Before you take this product, check your medications through the tool on this page and confirm with your own doctor or pharmacist.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.
If you're interested in glutathione for cisplatin-related nerve damage, there's some evidence it may help — worth discussing with your oncologist. For other uses like liver health or brain function, the science isn't settled yet.
The liquid form is generally well tolerated short-term, but long-term safety data is limited. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before you start, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have asthma.
