- Best Naturals Mastic Gum contains natural tree stem mastic gum (Pistacia lentiscus), a resinous compound, from a shrub-like tree grown mainly in Greece and Turkey. Resins, such as the triterpene mastic acid, make up 90 percent of the gum. Mastic gum contains a number of trace elements like sodium, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium and manganese.
