Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This capsule contains one active ingredient: pure wild Mediterranean oregano oil. Oregano oil is a concentrated extract, much stronger than the dried oregano you'd use in cooking.
The inactive ingredients are non-GMO soy lecithin, modified vegetable cellulose, and extra virgin olive oil — these help deliver and stabilize the active oil in capsule form.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that oregano oil works for acne, bronchitis, asthma, headache, or upper respiratory tract infections — the data shows insufficient reliable evidence to rate it for any of these uses. If you're considering it for one of these purposes, talk with your doctor about what the current research really supports and what might work better.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Oregano used in normal food amounts is generally well tolerated. As a concentrated supplement, however, it's much stronger and far less studied, so caution applies.
The most common side effect is gastrointestinal upset when taken by mouth. Rarely, some people have had serious allergic reactions including anaphylaxis — one person experienced breathing difficulty, swelling of the lips and tongue, and a dangerous drop in blood pressure after eating oregano-seasoned pizza.
If you have a known allergy to plants in the mint family (Lamiaceae), be especially careful. During pregnancy, oregano oil supplements should be avoided — food amounts are likely fine, but medicinal doses aren't established as safe.
While breastfeeding, safety data for supplements isn't available, so stick to food amounts and talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether a supplement makes sense for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners (anticoagulants or antiplatelets) — oregano oil may increase bleeding risk (Moderate severity). Also double-check if you're on any diabetes medication, since oregano may lower blood sugar and raise hypoglycemia risk (Moderate severity).
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Oregano oil may appeal to you if you're drawn to herbal remedies, but the evidence it works for common respiratory or skin issues isn't established yet. The bigger concern is that it may interact with blood thinners and diabetes medications — two categories worth checking with your doctor or pharmacist before you start.
If you have a history of allergies to oregano or other mint-family plants, mention that too.

Oregano Oil by Thymely Solutions Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Thymely Solutions Oregano Oil contains pure wild Mediterranean oregano oil, which interacts with blood thinners (anticoagulants/antiplatelets) and diabetes medications — two important drug categories to double-check before you start.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
With blood thinners like warfarin or aspirin, oregano oil may theoretically increase bleeding risk. Lab research shows oregano contains compounds that can slow clotting and reduce platelet stickiness.
If you take any anticoagulant or antiplatelet drug, your doctor or pharmacist needs to clear this before you add it.
Oregano oil may also lower blood sugar levels. If you're on diabetes medication, there's a theoretical risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when combined.
Again, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Altogether, these interactions span 208 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before taking this product.
