Sx Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Sx against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Sx by Higher Nature
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Sx contains three active ingredients: phosphatidylcholine, arginine, and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid (a type of fat found naturally in cell membranes) that appears in some foods and is used in supplements for liver and cognitive support.
Arginine is an amino acid your body uses for various functions. Pantothenic acid is a B vitamin your body needs for energy and hormone production.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients including lecithin granules, rice bran, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
Phosphatidylcholine shows possibly effective evidence for ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease). For other uses listed — nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, alcohol-related liver disease, Alzheimer disease, and anxiety — the evidence isn't established in the data we hold.
Pantothenic acid is effective for pantothenic acid deficiency; for other uses like hay fever and hair loss, the evidence isn't established. We have no effectiveness data on file for arginine in the uses this product may target.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylcholine is generally well tolerated, though high doses may cause digestive upset. Common side effects from oral use include altered taste, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting; these have been reported even at smaller doses in some people.
Pantothenic acid taken by mouth is generally well tolerated; diarrhea has been reported. In pregnancy, choline (which phosphatidylcholine provides) is needed, but supplement safety beyond food sources isn't well studied — talk with your doctor.
For breastfeeding, there isn't enough reliable data on either ingredient; check with your healthcare provider first.
Meds to double-check
No known interactions
No interactions are documented in our data for the ingredients we could check. We couldn't verify arginine against our database.
If you're on any medications, check them with the tool on this page before you start.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Sx may be worth considering if you're looking at phosphatidylcholine for ulcerative colitis or pantothenic acid for a documented deficiency, but the evidence for most other uses isn't established. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Run your exact medications through our checker to confirm there are no interactions we haven't caught.
