- Pfaffia (Pfaffia paniculata [Mart.] Kuntze), or suma, contains phytosterols (expecially beta-ecdysterone; also beta-sitosterol, polypodine b and stigamasterol), 6 unique saponins (pfaffosides A,B,C,D,E & F) pfaffic acid, allantoin, and traces of vitamins, amino acids, and minerals, including germanium. This extract is standardized at 5% beta-ecdysterone.
