What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: vitamin K2 (as MK-7, a specific form), supplied at 240 mcg per capsule. Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a role in clotting and bone health.
The capsule also holds inactive ingredients—extra virgin olive oil, gelatin, purified water, and glycerin—which help deliver and stabilize the active ingredient.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Vitamin K2 is effective for treating vitamin K-dependent clotting factor deficiency and certain bleeding disorders. It's also rated possibly effective for osteoporosis, though the evidence for bone health is not as established as for clotting support.
If you're considering this supplement for bone strength, talk with your pharmacist about what the current research shows for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Taken by mouth, vitamin K is generally well tolerated in healthy people. The most common side effects are mild stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea, or abdominal pain—happening in a small number of people.
The product is likely safe during pregnancy and lactation. That said, because of its interaction with blood thinners, you should check with your doctor before taking any vitamin K supplement, even if you're not on medication.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
If you take warfarin (Coumadin) or any blood thinner, check with your pharmacist before using this product—vitamin K can reduce how well your medication works. No other interactions are documented for the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a straightforward single-ingredient supplement useful for clotting support and possibly for bone health. The big caution is warfarin: if you take it, vitamin K2 is not off-limits, but your dose and your warfarin dose need to be managed together by your doctor.
Anyone on a blood thinner should run this by their pharmacist before starting.

Formula
Vitamin K's most beneficial form
Vitamin K2 MK-7 240 provides the most beneficial form of vitamin K in the form of vitamin K2 menaquinone-7 (K2 MK-7). Vitamin K2 MK-7 is now recognized as essential for bone and heart health through its role in regulating calcium metabolism. Unlike typical vitamin K1 and its role in blood clotting, vitamin K2 MK-7 is unique given its essential role in calcium utilization and thus bone, heart and circulatory health. Essentially, K2 MK-7 promotes the retention of calcium in healthy bone while inhibiting undesirable calcification in tissues such as arteries, heart valves, etc. By reducing calcification, K2 MK-7 promotes flexible, resilient arteries and heart valves - a defining characteristic of cardiovascular health. In short, K2 MK-7 helps our body retain calcium where required (our bones) and reduce deposits where calcification is to be avoided.
