This is a topical cream sunscreen containing zinc oxide as its active ingredient. Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter commonly used in sunscreen products to reflect and scatter ultraviolet light away from the skin. This product is marketed as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established rules for sunscreen ingredients and formulations rather than undergoing individual product review. The cream is applied to exposed skin to help protect against sun exposure.
