Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical lotion containing benzalkonium chloride, an antiseptic agent commonly used in skin care products. Applied directly to the skin, benzalkonium chloride is typically used to help reduce bacteria on the skin surface. This product is marketed as an antibacterial lotion under the FDA's monograph rules for over-the-counter antiseptic products, meaning it follows an established set of safety and labeling standards rather than undergoing individual FDA review.
