Clinical
This is an over-the-counter toothpaste sold under the FDA's monograph rules for anticavity products. The active ingredient, sodium monofluorophosphate, is a fluoride compound that is commonly used in oral care products to help strengthen tooth enamel and reduce cavity formation. The paste is applied topically to teeth during brushing. This product is marketed as a whitening toothpaste, though whitening effects come from the abrasive or chemical components of the formulation rather than the fluoride.
