Clinical
Viro-Flu AM is an over-the-counter liquid-filled capsule taken by mouth. It contains acetaminophen, which is commonly used to reduce fever and relieve pain, along with dextromethorphan, which is typically used to suppress cough. The product also includes phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant commonly used to help relieve stuffy nose. This is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under established FDA guidelines for its category rather than as an individually reviewed product.
