Clinical
This is an over-the-counter ophthalmic ointment containing mineral oil and white petrolatum. Both ingredients function as lubricants and emollients, and this product is typically used to help relieve dry eye discomfort and protect the eye surface. The ointment formulation allows the lubricating agents to coat and soothe irritated eye tissue. This is an OTC monograph product, meaning it is marketed under FDA's established category rules for this type of eye lubricant.
