Clinical
This is a topical lotion containing zinc oxide, an inorganic sunscreen ingredient. Zinc oxide is commonly used in sunscreen products to reflect and scatter ultraviolet (UV) light from the skin. This product is marketed as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it is sold under the FDA's established guidelines for sunscreen products rather than as an individually reviewed new drug application. The lotion is intended to be applied to the skin for sun protection.
