🩺 Clinical
This is a topical lotion sunscreen containing three active ingredients that work together to protect skin from ultraviolet rays. Homosalate and octocrylene are chemical UV filters that absorb sunlight, while zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter that reflects and scatters UV rays. The product is marketed as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it follows FDA's established safety and effectiveness guidelines for sunscreen ingredients rather than being individually reviewed. It is typically applied to exposed skin to help prevent sunburn.
