🩺 Clinical
This is an over-the-counter gel product applied to the skin that contains dimethicone, a silicone-based ingredient. Dimethicone is commonly used in scar-treatment products because it functions as a protective barrier and humectant, helping to soften and smooth the appearance of scar tissue through hydration and occlusion. This product is marketed under FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for topical scar-care agents rather than as an individually approved drug application.
