Key points

  • There is no known interaction between amoxicillin and propranolol.

Answer

There is no known drug interaction between propranolol and amoxicillin. They are considered safe together.

I do want to point out that some drug resources (e.g., DrugBank) may list a minor interaction between the two drugs since both are excreted via the kidneys. Theoretically, when two or more medications that are primarily excreted by the kidney are taken together, it could reduce the elimination rate of one, or both, of the drugs.

This doesn't appear to be the case between amoxicillin and propranolol however, and no interaction has been documented between them.

So, yes, it is safe to continue taking your amoxicillin, and propranolol as needed.
