Key points

  • There is no known drug interaction between Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Seroquel (quetiapine).

Answer

Thanks for reaching out! It is safe to take Seroquel (quetiapine) with Tylenol (acetaminophen). There are no known interactions between the two medications.

What About Other Pain Relievers?

Most pain relievers are safe with Seroquel. This includes:

  • Advil (ibuprofen)
  • Motrin (ibuprofen)
  • Aleve (naproxen
  • Aspirin

As mentioned above, Tylenol is safe too although I do want to mention that Tylenol is a pain reliever contained in many different products so when I say Tylenol is safe, I am referring only to acetaminophen (the active ingredient).

As an example here, Tylenol PM contains acetaminophen and diphenhydramine. While acetaminophen is safe, diphenhydramine with Seroquel can increase the feeling of sedation and the combination needs to be used cautiously together.
