Codeine Phosphate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Albizia Julibrissin interacts with.

Animal research suggests that certain constituents from Albizia julibrissin flowers can potentiate pentobarbital-induced sleeping time in mice. Theoretically, Albizia julibrissin might enhance the therapeutic and adverse effects of CNS depressants.
Some CNS depressants include pentobarbital (Nembutal), phenobarbital (Luminal), secobarbital (Seconal), clonazepam (Klonopin), lorazepam (Ativan), zolpidem (Ambien), and others.

Here's the simple version: codeine is a narcotic that calms your central nervous system, which is why it can make you drowsy or slow your breathing. Albizia julibrissin (the Persian silk tree used in traditional medicine) may have a mild calming effect of its own. Put the two together and, in theory, the sleepy and sedating side effects of codeine could pile up. That might mean more grogginess, dizziness, slowed breathing, or feeling foggy.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This concern comes only from animal studies (mice given a sedative slept longer with Albizia), so it's theoretical, not proven in people. Still, since both can dull the nervous system, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Codeine Sulfate tablets are used for the management of mild to moderate pain in adults and adolescents when other treatments have not worked well enough or are not tolerated. It is an opioid medication, so it is only appropriate when non-opioid options are inadequate.

Because of its serious risks — including addiction, misuse, and overdose — codeine is reserved for patients who truly need an opioid. Prescribers are expected to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time possible.
