Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Oxycodone Hydrochloride
Oxycodone Hydrochloride falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Albizia Julibrissin interacts with.
Some CNS depressants include pentobarbital (Nembutal), phenobarbital (Luminal), secobarbital (Seconal), clonazepam (Klonopin), lorazepam (Ativan), zolpidem (Ambien), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down your brain and body. It can make you drowsy, foggy, and slow your breathing. Albizia julibrissin is used in traditional medicine to calm the mind and help with sleep, so it may add a little to that same calming, sedating effect.
Putting the two together could, in theory, leave you more sleepy, dizzy, or sluggish than you'd expect, and in a worst case could deepen oxycodone's effect on your breathing. I'll be honest though, this concern comes only from animal research, not human studies, so it's theoretical. Still, with an opioid I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
