Meprobamate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cannabichromene (cbc) interacts with.

Using cannabichromene with drugs that have sedative properties may cause additive therapeutic and adverse effects.
Animal research shows that cannabichromene, given as a single dose intraperitoneally, increases the sedative response to the drugs hexobarbital, barbital, and zoxazolamine. However, this effect was not maintained when cannabichromene was given continuously. After receiving cannabichromene daily for 7 days, the sedative effect of these drugs was reduced when compared with a control group or a single dose of cannabichromene.

Here's the short version: Meprobamate already slows down your brain to ease anxiety, and CBC may add to that calming effect. Stacking two things that relax the nervous system can leave you more drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady than you'd expect, and that combo can make driving or anything needing sharp focus riskier.

One thing to keep in mind: this warning comes from animal and lab studies only, not from people. In those studies a single CBC dose deepened sedation, but with daily use over a week the effect actually faded. So we honestly can't predict how it'll play out in you. Please don't start, stop, or adjust your meprobamate on your own. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding any CBC product.

What Is Meprobamate Used For?

Meprobamate tablets are used to manage anxiety disorders or to provide short-term relief of anxiety symptoms. It is intended for anxiety that rises to the level of a disorder — everyday stress and tension that most people experience generally do not require this type of medication.

Because its effectiveness beyond four months has not been well studied, meprobamate is typically used for a limited period of time, with a prescriber checking in regularly to decide whether continued use is still appropriate.
