No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Clematis Recta and Dobutamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Clematis Recta and Dobutamine

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Dobutamine and Clematis Recta in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Clematis Recta at all — not against Dobutamine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Clematis Recta Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Dobutamine. It is the side-effect record for Clematis Recta on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Clematis Recta, this list is the first place to look.

  • Diarrhea Additional detail

“Orally, fresh Clematis recta can cause colic, diarrhea, and severe irritation to the gastrointestinal tract (18).”

Everything above comes from the Natural Medicines adverse-effect record for Clematis Recta — expand a row for the licensed statement it rests on. We read the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Dobutamine’s FDA label too, and the two lists don’t meaningfully overlap — which is why no Dobutamine column appears here.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Dobutamine

This page covers Clematis Recta only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Dobutamine page lists 17 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.

The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Coffee Charcoal (moderate), European Mandrake (moderate), Glucomannan (moderate) and Guar Gum (moderate).

By severity: 1 major · 7 moderate · 9 minor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dobutamine page

“Activated charcoal is the one entry here I'd treat as a genuine hazard alongside dobutamine (Dobutrex), a hospital medicine given by IV drip to strengthen a struggling heart. Charcoal binds many drugs and can cut their levels even when the drug isn't taken by mouth, and it's the only major-rated interaction of the 17 on this page.”

About Clematis Recta

What is Clematis Recta?

  • Skin complaints and eruptions
  • Swollen or tender lymph glands
  • Urinary discomfort
  • Nerve pain
  • Men's groin and testicular discomfort (traditional homeopathic use)

Clematis recta is a flowering plant in the buttercup family that is mostly sold today as a homeopathic remedy. The fresh plant is toxic and irritating, and there is no reliable human evidence that it treats any condition, so it should be used cautiously and only under professional guidance.

Clematis recta · Ranunculaceae · Fresh leaves and stems (aerial parts), usually gathered before flowering · Homeopathic pellets, dilutions, and mother tinctures; rarely as topical preparations

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Clematis Recta is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Clematis Recta record says about it on its own.

Clematis Recta: dosing

There is no established standard dose for Clematis recta. The raw plant is not recommended at all because it is toxic and irritating. When sold as a homeopathic remedy, it comes in standardized dilutions and potencies set by the manufacturer.

About Dobutamine

What Is Dobutamine Used For?

Brand name: Dobutrex

Dobutamine injection is used when the heart suddenly loses its ability to pump blood effectively — a condition called cardiac decompensation. This can happen because of organic heart disease or as a result of heart surgery. It is given intravenously (through an IV) in a hospital or clinical setting to provide short-term inotropic support, meaning it helps the heart muscle contract more strongly.

Clinical trial experience with intravenous dobutamine extends only up to 48 hours of use. Dobutamine has not been shown to be safe or effective for long-term treatment of heart failure, and long-term use of similar drugs has been linked to increased risk of hospitalization and death.

Most-Reported Side Effects for Dobutamine

From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (4,905 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.

Cardiogenic shock 485 reports
Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome 449 reports
