Emotional Freedom Techniques and Oseltamivir Phosphate

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Oseltamivir Phosphate and Emotional Freedom Techniques in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Emotional Freedom Techniques alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Emotional Freedom Techniques at all — not against Oseltamivir Phosphate, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Emotional Freedom Techniques is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Oseltamivir Phosphate’s Own FDA Label Lists

This is not an interaction — none of it involves Emotional Freedom Techniques. These are the most notable effects listed in the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Oseltamivir Phosphate’s own FDA label, for the medication by itself. Knowing the drug’s own list makes it easier to work out the likely cause if something new turns up while you practice Emotional Freedom Techniques and take the medicine. One of them is worth acting on rather than waiting out — marked below.

  • An allergic reaction Worth acting on
  • Vomiting mentioned in 8.6% of FDA reports for Oseltamivir Phosphate
  • Nausea mentioned in 6.5% of FDA reports for Oseltamivir Phosphate
  • Headache mentioned in 3.9% of FDA reports for Oseltamivir Phosphate

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Oseltamivir Phosphate. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 24,283 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Oseltamivir Phosphate that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Emotional Freedom Techniques’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Emotional Freedom Techniques side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Emotional Freedom Techniques has no side effects.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Oseltamivir Phosphate page

“Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) only has about five days to do its job against the flu, so this list deserves a careful read, and the single major entry, activated charcoal, deserves it most. Charcoal can adsorb the drug and cut how much reaches your bloodstream, which is exactly what you cannot afford during a short antiviral course.”

About Emotional Freedom Techniques

What is Emotional Freedom Techniques?

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression symptoms
  • Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
  • Phobias and fears
  • Cravings and weight management
  • Chronic pain

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often called 'tapping,' is a mind-body practice that combines tapping on acupressure points with focused statements about a problem. Early studies suggest it may help with anxiety, stress, and PTSD symptoms, but the research is still limited and many studies are small. It is generally low-risk, but it should not replace proven medical or mental health treatment.

Not applicable (a mind-body technique, not a plant or supplement) · Self-administered tapping sessions, guided sessions with a practitioner, apps, and online videos

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Emotional Freedom Techniques is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Emotional Freedom Techniques record says about it on its own.

Emotional Freedom Techniques: dosing

There is no standardized "dose" for EFT because it is a technique, not a product you take. Sessions usually involve tapping through a set sequence of points one or more times while focusing on a specific problem, often lasting several minutes.People may use it once during a stressful moment or practice it regularly. There is no proven "right" number of sessions.
