SEROTONERGIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Sumatriptan Succinate
Sumatriptan Succinate falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Hawaiian Baby Woodrose interacts with.
Hawaiian baby woodrose contains chemicals which might increase serotonin levels. Combining serotonergic drugs with Hawaiian baby woodrose might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects including serotonin syndrome and cerebral vasoconstrictive disorders.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with mixing these two. Sumatriptan (Imitrex) is a triptan that works on serotonin receptors to shut down a migraine, and Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds contain LSA, an LSD-like compound that also pushes on serotonin pathways. Stack two serotonin-boosting agents together and you raise the theoretical risk of serotonin syndrome, which can show up as agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shivering, muscle twitching, or confusion.
Both can also tighten blood vessels, so there's an added worry about reduced blood flow. I'll be honest: this is based on how the drugs work, not on solid studies, so the real-world risk isn't well measured. Still, woodrose isn't a recommended product to begin with. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything like this.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sumatriptan Succinate page
“Serotonin is where the sharpest risk sits for sumatriptan (Imitrex), a migraine drug that itself acts on serotonin receptors. Twenty of the 53 supplements on file, 5-HTP among them, can push serotonin activity higher still, opening the door to serotonin syndrome.”
