Trazodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Indian Snakeroot interacts with.

Theoretically, Indian snakeroot might inhibit CYP2D6 enzymes and reduce the metabolism of CYP2D6 substrates.
Indian snakeroot contains small amounts of the drug yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the basic idea with these two together. Trazodone is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Lab research suggests that one of the compounds in Indian snakeroot (a small amount of yohimbine) may slow that enzyme down. If that enzyme works slower, Trazodone could hang around in your body a bit longer than usual, which can nudge its effects and side effects upward. For Trazodone that often means more drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, or lightheadedness when standing up.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical, based only on test-tube studies, so it may never cause a real problem for you. On top of that, both can lower blood pressure on their own. Please don't start, stop, or adjust anything yourself. Just run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor first.
