In vitro research shows that jequirity extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, taking jequirity may inhibit the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.

Jequirity Overview
Jequirity is a plant in the Fabaceae family, and native to India and tropical regions of the world. The plant is known for its bright red seeds, which have a black band at the base.
While jequirity has been used in traditional medicine for a number of conditions, including asthma, fever, sore throat, bronchitis, hepatitis, constipation, and infectious disease, the seeds are toxic and can be harmful if ingested. They contain a protein known as abrin, and when ingested, can cause severe gastrointestinal symptoms, including diarrhea which can become bloody.
Due to safety concerns, the use of jequirity as a medicine is not recommended.
Apremilast Overview

Apremilast is used to treat psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain and swelling and scales on the skin). It is also used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body) in people who may benefit from medications or phototherapy (a treatment that involves exposing the skin to ultraviolet light). Apremilast is used to treat ulcers in the mouth in people with Behcet's syndrome (a disorder that causes blood vessel swelling in the body). Apremilast is in a class of medications called phosphodiesterase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body that cause inflammation.
