Mantra Meditation and Elotuzumab

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Elotuzumab and Mantra Meditation in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Mantra Meditation alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Mantra Meditation at all — not against Elotuzumab, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Mantra Meditation is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Elotuzumab page

“Elotuzumab (Empliciti) is an infusion for multiple myeloma, and every one of the 38 supplement interactions on file for it comes down to the same organ: the liver. Each ingredient here can stress or injure the liver on its own, and stacking that risk on top of cancer treatment deserves genuine care.”

About Mantra Meditation

What is Mantra Meditation?

  • Stress reduction
  • Anxiety
  • Relaxation and focus
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Blood pressure support
  • Spiritual or contemplative practice

Mantra meditation is a mind-body practice in which you silently or quietly repeat a word, sound, or phrase to calm the mind and reduce stress. It is generally very safe for most people and may help with stress, anxiety, and relaxation, though the quality of research varies. It is not a substitute for medical care, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist about any health condition you hope to manage.

Not applicable (a mind-body practice, not a plant or substance) · Silent or spoken repetition of a word, sound, or phrase; guided audio; group or individual practice; programs such as Transcendental Meditation

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Mantra Meditation is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Mantra Meditation record says about it on its own.

Mantra Meditation: dosing

There is no standardized "dose" for mantra meditation. Many programs and teachers suggest practicing for about 10 to 20 minutes once or twice a day, but you can start with just a few minutes and build up as you feel comfortable.Consistency tends to matter more than length—practicing a little each day is often more helpful than one long session now and then.
