Maple Syrup Diet and Amylase, Lipase, Protease

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Amylase, Lipase, Protease and Maple Syrup Diet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Maple Syrup Diet alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Maple Syrup Diet at all — not against Amylase, Lipase, Protease, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Maple Syrup Diet is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Maple Syrup Diet Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Amylase, Lipase, Protease. It is the side-effect record for Maple Syrup Diet on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Maple Syrup Diet, this list is the first place to look. One entry is worth acting on rather than waiting out — marked below.

  • An electrolyte imbalance Worth acting on Additional detail

“There is limited reliable information available about the adverse effects of the maple syrup diet. However, the maple syrup diet does not provide adequate nutrition and involves the consumption of large quantities of water. This can lead to electrolyte imbalances when used short-term and malnutrition when used long-term.”

Everything above comes from the Natural Medicines adverse-effect record for Maple Syrup Diet — expand a row for the licensed statement it rests on. We read the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Amylase, Lipase, Protease’s FDA label too, and the two lists don’t meaningfully overlap — which is why no Amylase, Lipase, Protease column appears here.

About Maple Syrup Diet

What is Maple Syrup Diet?

  • Short-term weight loss
  • Body 'detox' or cleanse
  • Jump-starting a diet
  • Quick fasting program

The Maple Syrup Diet (also called the Master Cleanse or Lemonade Diet) is a fad cleanse where you drink a maple syrup, lemon, water, and cayenne mixture instead of eating food for several days. There is no good scientific evidence that it 'detoxes' the body, and any weight lost is mostly water and is usually regained. It can be risky because it provides almost no protein, fat, vitamins, or minerals, so most people should avoid it.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Maple Syrup Diet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Maple Syrup Diet record says about it on its own.

Maple Syrup Diet: dosing

There is no medically established or recommended dose for the Maple Syrup Diet, because it is a fad cleanse rather than a proven treatment. Popular versions have people drink several glasses of the maple-lemon-cayenne mixture throughout the day in place of meals.Health experts generally do not recommend this diet at all. A balanced, calorie-controlled eating plan is a far safer and more effective way to lose weight.

About Pancrelipase

What Is Pancrelipase Used For?

Brand names: Pangestyme MT 16, Pangestyme CN 10, Pangestyme CN 20, Pangestyme EC, Pangestyme UL 12, Pangestyme UL 18, Pangestyme UL 20, Pancrelipase, Pancrelipase 10,000, Lipram 10,000, Pancrecarb Ms-4, Ku-Zyme, Kutrase, Digepepsin, Pancrecarb Ms-8, Pancrelipase 16,000, Pancrelipase 20,000, Pancron 20, Festal II, Microspheres, Zymase, Entozyme, Ku-Zyme HP, Protilase, Ilozyme, Plaretase, Ultresa

Pancrelipase is used to treat exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) — a condition where the pancreas doesn't produce enough digestive enzymes. Without these enzymes, the body struggles to break down and absorb nutrients from food.

It is indicated for adults with EPI caused by chronic pancreatitis (long-term pancreas inflammation) or pancreatectomy (surgical removal of the pancreas, in whole or in part). It is also used in people with cystic fibrosis who develop EPI.
