Timothy Grass and Clonazepam

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Clonazepam and Timothy Grass in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Timothy Grass at all — not against Clonazepam, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Timothy Grass safety at a glance

Timothy Grass overall Use caution Standardized immunotherapy products are prescription-only and can cause allergic reactions, so they require medical supervision.
Pregnancy Use caution Starting allergy immunotherapy during pregnancy is generally not recommended; discuss with your doctor.
Breastfeeding Not established There is little safety data, so talk with your doctor before use while breastfeeding.

Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clonazepam page

“Clonazepam (Klonopin) slows brain activity to control seizures and panic, and most of what interacts with it pushes in one of two directions: deepening that sedation or changing how much drug is in your blood. This is a list to approach carefully.”

About Timothy Grass

What is Timothy Grass?

  • Grass pollen allergy (hay fever)
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Allergic conjunctivitis (itchy, watery eyes)
  • Allergy desensitization (immunotherapy)
  • Allergy testing

Timothy grass is a common grass whose pollen is a major cause of seasonal hay fever. In medicine, a purified, standardized form of its pollen is used in prescription allergy immunotherapy tablets and shots to gradually reduce allergic reactions. It is not a typical dietary supplement, and any product containing timothy grass allergen should be used only under medical supervision.

Phleum pratense · Poaceae · Pollen (used to make allergy extracts and immunotherapy products) · Sublingual immunotherapy tablets, allergen extracts for allergy testing and allergy shots

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Timothy Grass is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Timothy Grass record says about it on its own.

Timothy Grass: dosing

There is no general supplement dose for timothy grass. The amount of allergen in immunotherapy products is carefully standardized by the manufacturer, and the right product and schedule depend on the individual.Sublingual tablets are usually taken once daily, often started before grass pollen season and continued as directed. Allergy shots follow a build-up and then maintenance schedule set by an allergist.Because dosing is specific and reactions are possible, you should only use timothy grass allergen products exactly as prescribed.
