What’s inside
Partial disclosure
This product contains 2 grams of beta-alanine in powder form, with no inactive ingredients listed. Beta-alanine is an amino acid your body naturally makes — it plays a role in muscle carnosine levels, which may matter for physical performance during repeated efforts like weightlifting or sprinting.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Beta-alanine is possibly effective for athletic performance and physical performance, based on available evidence. For other uses listed here — age-related cognitive decline, COPD, cognitive function, and menopausal symptoms — the evidence isn't established well enough to rate it.
If you're looking at this for athletic gains, the research is promising but not guaranteed to work for everyone.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Beta-alanine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but it commonly causes a harmless tingling feeling (paresthesia) in your skin, usually starting on your scalp within 20 minutes and spreading across your body for about an hour. How strong this tingling is depends on the dose — lower doses cause milder or less frequent tingling.
The long-term safety of high doses hasn't been thoroughly studied. There isn't enough safety information to know whether it's safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
If you're pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.

Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take one serving (1 scoop) with 8-16 ounces of water or suitable beverage. Taken once 15-30 minuets prior to exercise and again immediately after exercise. Continue to consume twice daily between meals on non-training days to retain increased levels. Begin with one serving (1 scoop) to assess your tolerance before increasing serving size as beta-alanine may cause a tingling for some users. With continued use, the intensity of the sensation will decrease or disappear.

General Statements
Beta-alanine is a modified version of l-alanine, a non-essential amino acid. beta-alanine is converted into camosine via the histidine amino acid group via the enzyme carnosine synthetasee. Carnosine itself is a dipeptide, high levels are commonly found in skeletal muscles but also found in the brain and cardiac muscle. It may play a role in acid base equilibrium maintenance (buffering H+ ions). The increase of carnosine in the cells may protect against diet-induced drops of pH (which occurs from ketone prodcution in ketosis), as well as provide protection from exercise-induced lactic acid production.
