The remaining ingredients are inactive — microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and several others that serve as binders, coatings, and fillers in the capsule.

Beta-alanine is possibly effective for athletic performance and physical performance — meaning the evidence suggests it may help, but more research is needed to be certain. For age-related cognitive decline, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cognitive function, and menopausal symptoms, the evidence isn't established well enough for us to rate it.
Most research has focused on its role in exercise, particularly endurance and high-intensity training.

Beta-alanine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but it commonly causes a harmless tingling or pins-and-needles sensation (paresthesia), usually starting on your scalp within 20 minutes and lasting about an hour — this is more noticeable at higher doses and less common at lower ones. The safety data advises against using it during pregnancy and while breastfeeding because there isn't enough information to know it's safe in those situations.
Long-term use at high doses hasn't been well studied.
