What’s inside
Full disclosure
Bio Boron 10 mg contains one active ingredient: boron, a mineral your body needs in small amounts. The capsule also contains hypromellose, an inactive ingredient used to form the capsule shell.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Boron is likely effective for boron deficiency — a shortage most people don't have if they eat a normal diet with nuts, legumes, and leafy greens. It's possibly effective for vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection) when applied vaginally and possibly effective for radiation dermatitis (skin damage from radiation therapy).
For athletic performance, the evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
At the 10 mg dose in this product, boron is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects from oral use are loss of appetite, skin irritation, redness, and indigestion.
However, boron can be toxic at high doses — chronic use of very large amounts can cause skin problems and hair loss, and acute poisoning from larger doses causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and in severe cases, shock. Avoid boron supplements if you're pregnant; high amounts may harm the fetus.
Also avoid them while breastfeeding due to limited safety data.
