The tablet also contains several inactive ingredients — dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, croscarmellose sodium, and an aqueous coating — which are there to form and stabilize the tablet.

Boron is likely effective for boron deficiency, which can occur when your diet is very low in this mineral. The evidence is less clear for other uses: it's possibly effective for vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis) and radiation skin damage (radiation dermatitis), but possibly ineffective for athletic performance.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
At the dose in this supplement (3 mg), boron is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects from oral boron are loss of appetite, skin rash, redness, and indigestion.
However, boron can be toxic at high doses — chronic use of much larger amounts can cause hair loss and skin problems, and very large doses can cause serious poisoning with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and in severe cases, shock. Do not take this supplement if you're pregnant — the safety data advises against it because high amounts may harm the fetus.
