What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: cauliflower extract, supplied as a 4:1 concentrated form at 450 mg per capsule. The extract is filled in gelatin capsules with water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for cauliflower extract's effectiveness isn't established in the data we hold. We have effectiveness ratings for several potential uses — including bladder, breast, lung, and prostate cancer, as well as diabetes — but all of them are rated as having insufficient reliable evidence to rate.
That means the scientific evidence doesn't yet support or rule out a benefit for these conditions.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Cauliflower as a food is safe and nutritious for most people. When used as a concentrated supplement in pregnancy, it's not well studied, so there isn't enough data to know either way — talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you during that time.
While breastfeeding, eating cauliflower is generally safe, though some parents notice it makes babies gassier. No adverse effects were reported in the data we hold.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Drugs metabolized by the enzyme CYP1A2 may be cleared from your body faster when you take cauliflower extract, which could make them less effective. Use the interaction checker below to search your exact medications before starting this supplement, and discuss any concerns with your doctor or pharmacist.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Cauliflower extract is a single-ingredient supplement that's generally well tolerated when eaten as food, though its effectiveness for cancer prevention or diabetes isn't established yet. The main thing to watch is whether it speeds up how your body clears certain prescription medications.
Before you take it, check your medications against the interaction tool on this page, and talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist if any of your drugs are processed by CYP1A2.
