Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: cinnamon (from cassia cinnamon), at 1000 mg per capsule. Cassia cinnamon is a spice commonly used in cooking, but at supplement doses it's a much more concentrated form.
The capsule also contains three inactive ingredients — vegetable cellulose (the capsule itself), magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide — which are standard fillers and binders used to hold the capsule together.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for cinnamon's effectiveness is not established in the data we hold. The facts list six conditions — amenorrhea, angina, common cold, diabetes, diarrhea, and high cholesterol — but all carry a rating of insufficient reliable evidence.
That means the research so far isn't solid enough to say whether it works for any of them. If you're considering this for a specific health reason, talk to your pharmacist or doctor about what the current science actually supports.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Cinnamon is generally well tolerated at food amounts — the sprinkle on your oatmeal is fine. At supplement doses like this one, though, there are a few things to watch.
The main concern is liver damage from coumarin, especially with long-term use. In clinical trials, doses ranging from 360 mg up to 12 grams daily for three months didn't significantly raise liver enzymes, but very high coumarin doses in other studies have caused liver problems that improved when the supplement was stopped.
Side effects are rare. A rash was reported in one person taking 1 gram daily, and there's one case report of contact dermatitis in someone with a cinnamon allergy.
One hypoglycemic seizure (low blood sugar seizure) was reported in a trial, though it's unclear if cinnamon caused it. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, food amounts are likely fine, but avoid high-dose supplements — the safety data just isn't there.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check with your pharmacist if you're on drugs that stress the liver (hepatotoxic drugs) or diabetes medications. Both interactions are moderate-severity and may require dose adjustments to your prescription.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a straightforward cinnamon supplement if you're curious about it, but the evidence for most health claims is thin. If you take diabetes medications or any drug that stresses your liver, check with your pharmacist first — the interactions are real.
Otherwise, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you plan to take it long-term.

Cinnamon Bark 1000 mg by AN Amazing Nutrition Amazing Formulas Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Cinnamon Bark 1000 mg by AN Amazing Nutrition Amazing Formulas does interact with certain medications.
The main concern is with drugs that stress the liver (hepatotoxic drugs). Large doses of cassia cinnamon may add to that burden and cause additive liver damage — especially if you're taking it long-term, since cinnamon contains coumarin, a compound that can harm the liver over time.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The other important one is diabetes medications. Cinnamon may lower blood glucose levels on its own, so if you're on insulin or blood-sugar-lowering drugs, taking this supplement could cause your blood sugar to drop too far.
Your doctor might need to adjust your diabetes medication dosage.
Altogether, these interactions span 425 individual medications. If you take any prescription drug — especially for your liver or diabetes — run it through the medication checker on this page before you start.

Cinnamon
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, cassia cinnamon may have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Cassia cinnamon may lower blood glucose levels, and have additive effects in patients treated with antidiabetic agents. Dose adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary.
Hepatotoxic Drugs
Theoretically, large doses of cassia cinnamon might cause additive effects when used with hepatotoxic drugs.
There is some concern that ingesting large amounts of cassia cinnamon for an extended duration might cause hepatotoxicity in some people. Cassia cinnamon contains coumarin, which can cause hepatotoxicity in animal models. In humans, very high doses of coumarin from 50-7000 mg/day can result in hepatotoxicity that resolves when coumarin use is discontinued. Lower amounts might also cause liver problems in sensitive people, such as those with liver disease or those taking potentially hepatotoxic agents.
