Digest Spectrum contains 13 active ingredients—all digestive enzymes. The main ones are protease (breaks down proteins), lipase (breaks down fats), and lactase (breaks down milk sugar).
The blend also includes cellulase, pectinase, invertase, glucoamylase, alpha-galactosidase, xylanase, maltase, hemicellulase, amylase, and dipeptidyl peptidase-IV, each targeting different carbohydrates and other food components. The capsule itself is filled with cellulose and water.

Strong evidence
Evidence for digestive enzymes in this product is limited. Lactase is effective for lactose intolerance—that one's well established.
For the others—lipase and protease—the evidence isn't there yet. The data we hold rates lipase and protease as having insufficient reliable evidence for dyspepsia (indigestion) and inflammatory bowel disease.
