Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children, though data are limited — check with your doctor before use. The most common side effects from probiotics are gastrointestinal: abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea, and burping — but these are uncommon.

Chicory Root Fiber commonly causes abdominal pain, belching, bloating, and flatulence; it may also trigger allergies in people sensitive to the ragweed family (Asteraceae).
