Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 3 of its 3 active ingredients.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This liquid supplement contains 3 active ingredients: gamma oryzanol (a compound from rice bran), polyunsaturated fat, and monounsaturated fat. These are blended with inactive ingredients including corn oil, rice bran oil, fructose, polysorbate-80, potassium sorbate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, and purified water — the latter are excipients that help keep the formula stable and drinkable.

Does it work?

Insufficient evidence
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Insufficient

There isn't enough reliable clinical evidence to rate this product's ingredients for its stated purpose.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: more energy and enhanced sexual performance.
  • We looked for evidence on: Athletic performance, Muscle strength, Sexual dysfunction, Stamina, Libido.
  • The closest evidence on file: Gamma-oryzanol is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Athletic performance (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Gamma-oryzanol is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Muscle strength.

Gamma oryzanol is possibly effective for dyslipidemia (abnormal cholesterol and fat levels in the blood). For athletic performance and atopic dermatitis (eczema), the evidence isn't established in the data we hold — there isn't enough reliable research to say whether it works.

The effectiveness ratings for polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are not on file here.

How safe is it?

Some data gaps
Safety Information · database check
Some gaps

Safety data exists for these ingredients, but with some important gaps.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 0 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Gamma oryzanol is generally well tolerated in studies, but long-term safety hasn't been thoroughly studied. The safety data advises against using it during pregnancy because there isn't enough information to know it's safe.

Similarly, there's no reliable safety data for breastfeeding, so it's best avoided then too. We don't have adverse effect data on file for this product, and we hold no safety information for polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fats.

No known interactions
Known Interaction Concern · database check
No known interactions

No medication interactions are currently documented for the matched ingredients — that isn't a guarantee none exist.

Why this rating?
  • None of the 1 matched ingredient has a documented medication interaction on file.

No interactions are documented in our data for the ingredients we could check. However, we hold no interaction data for polyunsaturated fat or monounsaturated fat, so if you take any medications, have your pharmacist or doctor confirm there's nothing to worry about with those components.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. No medication interactions are currently documented, and some safety-information gaps remain.

Gamma-O For Him may be worth considering if you're interested in possible support for cholesterol and fat levels — gamma oryzanol shows some promise there. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, because the safety data isn't there to support it during those times.

Check with your own healthcare provider to see if this fits your situation.

General Statements

A GAMMA ORYZANOL EMULSION

Gamma-O For Him is scientifically engineered for men over 30. As a man ages and enters his 30‘s, a drop in natural hormone production occurs. A decrease in strength and stamina, followed by a decrease in sex drive are typical signs that hormone production is slowing. Gamma-O For Him is a rice bran extract. Gamma-O works on the hypothalamus to affect the pituitary gland which controls the body's endorphin and hormonal release patterns. These hormones include the male sex hormone - testosterone. When testosterone levels decrease, it can cause low sex drive, iron deficiency, and mood changes. A natural increase in testosterone supports anti-aging processes for men. Increasing testosterone production naturally rejuvenates and revitalizes the entire body, Studies have shown that men ingesting Gamma-O feel younger, have more energy, and have a heightened sex drive.* Gamma Oryzanol is a combination of substances found in rice bran oil. In Japan, it is widely accepted that rice bran oil contains many beneficial traits. Gamma-O acts to inhibit the absorption of cholesterol into the body, helping to naturally maintain cholesterol levels already within the normal range.* Gamma-O also possesses strong anti-oxidant properties which protect heart vessels from free radical damage.*
