What’s inside
Full disclosure
Gamma-O For Her is a liquid supplement with three active ingredients: gamma oryzanol, polyunsaturated fat, and monounsaturated fat. Gamma oryzanol is a plant compound found in rice bran oil and related sources; the fats in this formula are types of dietary lipids — unsaturated fats that play roles in cell function and nutrient absorption.
The product also contains several inactive ingredients (corn oil, fructose, polysorbate-80, potassium sorbate, sodium carboxy-methylcellulose, and purified water) that serve as carriers, preservatives, or texture agents.
Does it work?
Not established
Gamma oryzanol is possibly effective for dyslipidemia (abnormal blood fat levels). For athletic performance and atopic dermatitis (eczema), the evidence is insufficient — we don't have enough reliable data to say whether it works.
The effectiveness of polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat for any specific condition is not covered in the data we hold for this product.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Gamma oryzanol is generally well tolerated in studies, but long-term safety has not been well established. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy — there isn't enough information to know whether it's safe for a developing baby.
The same caution applies to breastfeeding: reliable safety data is not available, so it's best avoided if you're nursing. We don't have safety information on file for polyunsaturated fat or monounsaturated fat in this product.
Meds to double-check
No known interactions
No interactions are documented in our data for the ingredient we could fully check in this product. We could not evaluate polyunsaturated fat or monounsaturated fat for drug interactions.
If you take any regular medications, confirm them with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. No medication interactions are currently documented, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Gamma-O For Her may be worth considering if you're interested in possible support for dyslipidemia and want to explore what gamma oryzanol offers. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, the safety data advises against it — talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you.
