Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains a single active ingredient: glutathione, a compound your body naturally makes from three amino acids. Glutathione acts as an antioxidant — it helps neutralize harmful molecules in your cells.

The capsule also contains rice flour, hypromellose, silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate as inactive ingredients that help hold the capsule together.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

We hold no graded evidence for this product's ingredients for its stated purpose.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: detoxification and immune support.
  • Our graded evidence for these ingredients doesn't cover that particular purpose.

The evidence we hold shows glutathione is possibly effective for reducing nerve damage caused by the chemotherapy drug cisplatin. For other uses — nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and cataracts — the evidence isn't established well enough to rate.

That doesn't mean it doesn't work; it means the studies we have aren't strong enough to make a call.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Oral glutathione appears generally well tolerated when used short-term, though long-term safety data is limited. One important caution: if you have asthma and use inhaled (nebulized) glutathione, it can trigger airway narrowing and coughing — oral forms don't carry that risk.

During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety data, so it's best avoided unless your doctor advises otherwise. The same applies to breastfeeding — the safety information isn't there, so caution and avoidance are recommended.

No known interactions

No medication interactions are currently documented for the matched ingredients — that isn't a guarantee none exist.

Why this rating?
  • None of the 1 matched ingredient has a documented medication interaction on file.

No interactions are documented in our data for the glutathione in this product. Still, ask your pharmacist to verify your exact medications before you start — our data is thorough but not exhaustive, and new interactions may emerge.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.

This supplement is most studied for protecting against chemotherapy nerve damage. If you're considering it for another reason, the evidence is still developing.

Because safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding is limited, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to be. And bring your medications list with you to check.

Formula

Glutathione is a small peptide molecule composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. It is produced by every cell in the body, with epecially high levels in the liver. Glutathione is critical for healthy immune system function and is necessary for proper detoxification processes. It also plays a critical role in maintaining cellular health by directly neutralizing free radicals, as well as by maintaining the activity of vitamins C and E.

This product has Glutathione in its reduced, active form for optimal bioavailability.
