What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: trans-resveratrol at 600 mg per capsule. Resveratrol is a compound found naturally in grapes, berries, and red wine; the supplement isolates and concentrates it.
The capsule also holds inactive ingredients—hypromellose (a plant-based capsule material), silicon dioxide (an anti-caking agent), and magnesium stearate (a lubricant)—but these are not active components.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence on resveratrol is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for obesity and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), meaning there's some research support but it's not definitive.
However, it's rated possibly ineffective for cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol, so don't count on it for those goals. The data we hold doesn't establish strong proof for other uses you might have heard about.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses. At higher doses, digestive upset—including diarrhea, loose stools, and general gastrointestinal discomfort—is the most common side effect.
A small number of patients on dialysis reported headache, fatigue, and memory loss while taking it, though a direct cause wasn't confirmed. One person developed a skin rash that cleared two weeks after stopping.
For pregnancy, the safety data aren't robust enough to know if it's safe, and concentrated supplements like this one are advised against. There isn't enough information to recommend it while breastfeeding either.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether resveratrol is right for you if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (aspirin, warfarin, clopidogrel)—resveratrol may raise your bleeding risk. Also flag any medications metabolized by the liver enzymes CYP1A2, CYP2C19, CYP2E1, or CYP3A4, since resveratrol can theoretically slow how your body clears them, though this hasn't been proven in humans at supplement doses.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Resveratrol may help with weight and allergy symptoms based on current evidence, but it's not proven for heart disease or cholesterol. The main risk is that it could raise blood levels of many medications by slowing how your liver clears them—and it may increase bleeding risk if you take blood thinners.
Before starting, check your medications with your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you're on any blood thinner or take drugs for mood, pain, or heart rhythm.

High Potency Trans-Resveratrol 600 mg by Doctor's Best Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Doctor's Best High Potency Trans-Resveratrol 600 mg can interact with medications through its resveratrol content.
The main concern is that resveratrol may increase blood levels of drugs broken down by several liver enzymes (CYP1A2, CYP2C19, CYP2E1, and CYP3A4), theoretically making those drugs stronger or causing side effects. The most serious documented interaction is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin), where resveratrol's own blood-thinning effects could raise your bleeding risk.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
These liver-enzyme interactions are based on lab research and haven't been confirmed in humans—except for one real-world study showing that 500 mg of resveratrol daily for 10 days raised levels of the muscle-relaxant chlorzoxazone by about 54%. At 600 mg per dose, the effect could be similar.
The CYP3A4 interaction is less clear: a clinical study found that 3,000 mg of resveratrol daily for 8 weeks didn't require dose changes to CYP3A4 drugs, but that doesn't guarantee safety at all doses.
Allogether, these interactions span 823 individual medications. Before you start resveratrol, use the medication checker below to see if any of your prescriptions fall into these categories—especially blood thinners, or drugs for depression, anxiety, pain, or heart rhythm.
If they do, check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this supplement.

Trans-Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
