Calcium
Calcium is a vital nutrient found in various foods such as dairy products, certain vegetables, and many fortified items. Over 99% of the body's calcium is stored in the bones and teeth, predominantly as hydroxyapatite. The remaining calcium circulates in the blood, extracellular fluid, muscles, and other tissues, where it is essential for processes like nerve signaling, muscle contraction, vascular activities, glandular secretion, and maintaining cell membrane and capillary permeability. It also plays critical roles in enzyme reactions, respiration, kidney function, and blood clotting, and is involved in neurotransmitter and hormone release, amino acid uptake, vitamin B12 absorption, and gastrin secretion. Calcium balance changes with age: it is positive during periods of growth, stable in adulthood, and tends to become negative in older age. Calcium loss occurs through feces, urine, sweat, and shedding skin cells. In women, reduced estrogen levels decrease calcium absorption and retention, increase bone turnover, and lead to lower bone mass. Calcium supplements come in various forms, including citrate and carbonate, which differ mainly in their calcium content and absorption rates. Calcium citrate is easily absorbed and can be taken without food, making it suitable for older adults or those with low stomach acid. In contrast, calcium carbonate, which contains a higher percentage of calcium, is best absorbed when taken with meals.

Elderberry
Elderberry (Sambucus) is a plant that belongs to the Adoxaceae family. It is native to Europe, Asia, and North America, and has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. The Elderberry plant has distinctive dark purple or black berries, which are often used in different types of food, including jams, jellies, and syrups. In traditional medicine, elderberry is one of the most popular over-the-counter supplements due to its purported immune-stimulating effects and is used to treat colds, flu, and other respiratory infections. Some studies have suggested that elderberry may have antiviral and immune-boosting properties, but more research is needed to confirm these effects. It is important to note that there are several different species of elderberry, including American elder (Sambucus canadensis) and black elder (Sambucus nigra). Black elder is more commonly used in dietary supplements.

Arabinogalactan
Arabinogalactans are long, densely branched, high-molecular weight polysaccharides found in many plants, with the highest concentrations in larch trees. Larch arabinogalactan, specifically obtained from the western larch (Larix occidentalis) and eastern larch (Larix laricina), is approximately 98% arabinogalactan. This polysaccharide has a range of potential health benefits, including serving as a soluble, non-viscous fiber that ferments in the gut, potentially increasing beneficial gut bacteria like Lactobacillus. Additionally, larch arabinogalactan has been investigated for its possible role in drug delivery systems due to its water solubility and numerous hydroxyl groups, which may enhance the bioavailability of drugs like ibuprofen. Moreover, preliminary research suggests immunostimulatory effects, such as increased natural killer cell activity and enhanced immune response to certain vaccines.

Apples come in a wide range of colors, including green, red, yellow, and pink, and are often eaten fresh or used in cooking. Apples have been purported to have a number of potential health benefits, as they are a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They are also rich in antioxidants, which may help to protect against certain chronic diseases. In addition, apples may have a number of medicinal properties, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Banana
Bananas are rich in starch, fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, and carbohydrates, mainly glucose, fructose, and sucrose. They also contain catecholamines, phytosterols, and carotenoids, with higher levels of carotenoids in more colored varieties. Bananas have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial effects, and they are used traditionally for conditions such as cancer, diabetes, and gastric ulcers. They are also used to aid in weight loss and have been shown to have hypotensive and immune-boosting effects in research settings.

organic Echinacea purpurea
Echinacea is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the daisy family and is native to cental and eastern North America. It is known for its purple, cone-shaped flowers. In traditional medicine, echinacea has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including colds, flu, and other respiratory infections.
